Netflix’s Virgin River season three put viewers through an emotional roller coaster as they watched each character deal with the unexpected. The instalment also introduced newcomer Brie (played by Zibby Allen) who was quickly swept off her feet by Brady (Ben Hollingsworth). However, as the season ended some fans suspected Brie could’ve played a major role in Brady’s arrest.
The season finale of Virgin River left viewers overwhelmed with questions about the fate of their favourite characters.
Thankfully for fans, this will lead to a number of potential storylines for showrunners to explore in the upcoming season.
One of the many surprises was Brady, being arrested for the attempted murder of Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson).
This came as a shock because the two were introduced as friends who had previously served in the military together and although Brady struggled to adapt, Jack offered him employment at his bar.
Therefore, fans refused to believe Brady could’ve been the person who left Jack to die on the floor of his bar, in a pool of his blood.
One viewer even questioned why writers would reveal Brady was at the bar the night of the shooting if they were going to surprise their audience with his arrest.
However, other viewers unveiled a shocking theory which suggested Jack’s sister Brie could’ve been behind the attempted murder.
Fans predict Brie had turned up at the bar after Brady’s altercation with Jack, in hopes of surprising her brother.
But instead, she may have got startled and accidentally shot him with a gun she carried for protection.
With the bar being extremely dark, Jack had no way of identifying the shooter, plus unlike everyone else in the town, Brie was never questioned.
Fans will recall, police had a right to arrest Brady after they discovered the weapon in his car and Brie was the only other keyholder of that vehicle.
Although it could seem unlikely for Brie to shoot her brother, the points raised by viewers suggest otherwise.
With this happening around her, Brie wouldn’t have been forced to skip town and may have gotten away with it by blaming Brady.
By staying in the Virgin River, she may have also wanted to ensure her brother was healthy and fully recovered back to full health.
Sadly, this isn’t Jack’s only problem in the upcoming fourth season, the finale ended with Jack proposing to Mel Monrose (Alexandra Breckenridge).
While this may be good news, the rushed proposal came soon after they ended things because he didn’t want to have children with Mel.
Not only was Jack expecting twins with his ex Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersly), but Mel also announced he was pregnant.
However, viewers are yet to find out who the father of Mel’s baby is, as she was inseminated with her last IVF eggs while the two were on a break.
The eggs have been frozen after the death of her ex-husband Mark Monroe (Daniel Gillies) as they were trying for a baby.
Hopefully for fans, Virgin River will soon announce an updated release date after it was revealed season four was pushed back.
Virgin River seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix.
