Vernon Kay lands presenting role as host of ITV’s new series Game Of Talents

Vernon Kay has landed himself a brand new presenting role.

The I'm A Celebrity star, 46, is set to be the host of ITV series Game of Talents – a show that sees contestants try to uncover the secret talents of the public for a chance to win a cash prize.

In each episode contestants will pair with a celebrity and they will try to guess the hidden talent of eight mystery performers based on “appearance” and “intriguing clues”.

After landing the presenting gig, Vernon gushed: "We’re lining up some amazing performers whose skills are both jaw-droppingly brilliant and at times surreal."

"I can’t wait for viewers to play along at home and try to guess who has which hidden talent. Prepare to be shocked and amazed in equal measure," he added.

The show's format was first launched in Spain and has proved to be uber successful as it's now entering its third season.

Vernon's new project is set to be produced by Thames – a company which already makes smash hits such as Britain’s Got Talent and The Greatest Dancer.

Meanwhile managing director of Thames, Amelia Brown, said: "Vernon is the ideal host to bring lots of fun to Game of Talents. Families at home will be on the edge of their seats as they play along with him."

The seven hour-long episodes of Game Of Talents are set to air on ITV this year.
