Towie's Yazmin Oukhellou devastated as she reveals beloved nan who starred with her on the show has died

THE Only Way is Essex star Yazmin Oukhellou has revealed her beloved nan who starred on the show has died aged 72.

Hilda Quinn passed away unexpectedly of respiratory failure in Barnet Hospital at 9.45am this morning.

Fan favourite Yaz, 27, told The Sun: "My heart is broken."

Hilda was well known to Towie fans for her appearances on the ITVBe show – the Scot famously grilled Yaz's ex James Locke for breaking her granddaughter's heart.

"I'll be damned if I let anybody hurt her," Hilda told him.

Hilda has been a guest on Towie ever since Yaz joined the show in 2017.

Telling fans about her death on Instagram today, devastated Yaz wrote: "This morning I lost my queen my nanny Hilda and heaven gained an angel. 🤍.

"I cannot believe I’m even writing this nan. You were my best friend, the woman I called to for advice, the one who understood me when others didn’t and the woman I will forever cherish in my heart.

"I admire you so much Nan and pray that I am half the woman that you are.

"Your strength, your heart of gold, your selflessness and the way you took on anything life threw at you and made your way out of any situation stronger and better than ever.

"You really are my queen. I really don’t know how I’m going to cope not ever seeing you again and I still feel like this isn’t real and I’m in a bad dream.

"I love you so much Nan and I know you’ll be looking down on me like you said you would and I will forever be thinking about you.

"Love you forever Nan 💔💔💔💔."

She concluded: "I’m going to take a break now from the world to be with my family. In case anyone messages or calls just know I’m not being rude I just need some time to process this."
