Tipping Point viewers were left feeling frustrated on Friday afternoon as one contestant kept on pressing his buzzer with all his strength.
Host Ben Shephard welcomed four contestants to the famous ITV studio and they battled it out to win the highly sought after cash prizes.
Sital, Andrea, Nathaniel and Ann answered a series of questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.
Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelve – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.
Things got off to a tricky start for contestant Nathaniel who failed to answer any questions correctly during the first round of the competition despite slamming his buzzer.
Nathaniel pressed his button with such force that presenter Ben even said: "You were too slow Nathaniel, but we all felt it."
Viewers at home were quick to point out the enthusiastic player's annoying habit.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Nathaniel is about to hulk out on his buzzer."
A second person posted: "Why doesn't Nathaniel keep his hand on the buzzer instead of launching it from three feet?"
"Nathaniel gonna smash that button," a third viewer predicted.
"While a fourth said: "If Nathaniel puts his bloody hands on the button he mind actually press it first!"
Nathaniel did eventually manage to press his buzzer before his competitors but things didn't quite go to plan for the contestant.
He completely froze and ran out of time before he could answer the question on a question on music.
Tipping Point viewers couldn't believe their eyes as Nathaniel failed to answer the question during his time to shine.
One fan tweeted: "Earth to Nathaniel, Earth to Nathaniel. Its not just a "who buzzes first" game, you DO NEED to know the answer too!"
Another added: "The first time Nathaniel buzzes in – and he f***s it up!"
A third person posted: "Nathaniel is having an absolute western."
While a fourth wrote: "Nathaniel on Tipping Point could be the worst contestant ever in anything."
Nathaniel failed to answer any questions correctly and was sent back packing during the first round of the competition.
Ann was the lucky contestant who made it through to the final round with a chance of wining the £10,000 jackpot.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
