The Walking Dead season 10 is due to resume soon and fans are looking forward to the extra episodes. The season was extended by six episodes earlier this year, and fans will see the return of Maggie (played by Lauren Cohan) as she takes on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in episode 17. There is a way for fans to watch the new episodes ahead of the planned release of February 28 on AMC, and has all you need to know.

How to watch TWD season 10, episode 17 premiere early

The Walking Dead fans are hyped for the extended season to resume and a new trailer has arrived to give some insight.

The video has teased the impending showdown between Negan and Maggie, and the spotlight is on Negan.

He is heard saying: “Now here we are again, last time we did this you said that I talk too much.

“Listen, this time, you best hope I never stop talking, because when I do, something very terrible is going to happen to you.”

The video then shows Negan pointing a gun at an unidentified character.

The six new episodes will also show the survivors navigating life following the Whisperer War.

Their vulnerabilities are exposed as they face new threats, and fans are expecting to see The Commonwealth community emerge.

While most fans in the US will be able to watch the premiere on AMC on February 28, there is an opportunity to watch it early.

Fans can register for the streaming service AMC+, which should allow the latest episodes to be seen early.

The AMC+ website says: “Binge the latest episodes of season 10 before the return of TWD. Episodes available early starting February 21.”

The 10C premiere, titled Home Sweet Home, will release exclusively as part of the AMC+ streaming bundle.

This means fans in the US will be able to watch it a whole week before it airs on AMC at 9pm on February 28.

The AMC+ streaming bundle includes all seasons of The Walking Dead ad-free and on-demand, and if fans sign up now they can access a one-week free trial.

Subscription usually costs $8.99 per month and unlocks early access to new episodes of all Walking Dead shows.

The service also includes exclusives like The Walking Dead: Making the Extended 10th Season.

The remaining five episodes of 10C will be released weekly on AMC+ on Thursdays, three days before their Sunday slots on the AMC network.

Fans can access AMC+ via Apple TV, Prime Video, DirecTV, Dish, Roku, Sling, and Xfinity.

In the UK, fans will have to wait until the Monday after each TWD episode airs in the States and tune into FOX UK.

Negan actor Morgan is on Instagram and he shared the latest teaser for the new episodes, saying: “Some s*** is happening soon.”

One fan responded: “Can’t wait. Idk if I’m going to love Negan even more or switch teams and root for Lucille.” (sic)

Morgan’s real-life wife, Hilarie Burton, has been cast as his on-screen wife Lucille for the new episodes.

The star shared a photo of her character on Instagram, wearing a green wig and pointing a gun whilst holding on to a medical drip attached to her arm.

In the comic books, Lucille was diagnosed with cancer and she dies from the illness.

However, she is later reanimated and Negan cannot bring himself to kill his zombified wife.

Fans will be keen to know what happens between the couple as the tragic comic book story is brought to life.

The Walking Dead season 10C will air on AMC+ on February 21 and AMC on February 28.
