Saturday saw the return of Strictly Come Dancing as the contestants and their professional dancers returned to the dancefloor for week five of the BBC dance competition. However, it was Nikita Kuzmin who was left blushing after being questioned about Tilly Ramsay’s routine.
Presenter Tilly Ramsey and professional Nikita Kuzmin were able to avoid another week of eliminations after their show stopping take on the Foxtrot.
Their performance even wowed the judges who scored them a total of 36 points.
Head judge Shirley Ballas described the routine as “beautiful” and “unbelievable, before adding it was rare to see a woman stay connected to a man’s “right side”.
Professional-turned-judge Anton Du Beke told the 19-year-old: “You are joyous! I’m convinced you’d be a joy to dance with.”
The hard to please Craig Revel Howard labelled her performance “absolutely gorgeous,” as he positively addressed her elegance and grace.
Motsi told the pair she thought it was great quality, elegant and classy.
With another successful performance under their belt, Tilly and Nikita featured on Strictly’s spin-off series, It Takes Two.
When talking about working with Tilly, the professional told host Rylan Clarke: “She’s one of the hardest working person I know.”
“How much effort she puts in the training room, she’s always concentrated, going from university to training, I’m sure she’ll be good.”
With the upcoming week being Halloween themed, Rylan asked if they had “any tricks up their sleeves.”
To which Nikita turned to Tilly and made a face before saying: “Ooo.”
This made Tilly burst into laughter, and a shocked Rylan asked the audience: “Did anyone else feel that, was it just me?”
As Tilly and Nikita were in heaps of laughter, Rylan scrambled to retrieve the interview and laughed as he said: “Well if that’s what’s up your sleeve then fine.”
“I’m going to blush now,” said the professional dancer as he tried to gain composure from laughing so much.
He continued: “It’s quite a fun show, honestly and this Halloween week is all about fun for us, enjoying the cha-cha and enjoying the performance.”
This weekend also saw the return of Ugo and Oti after he was forced to miss a week due to an aggravated back injury.
However, it wasn’t meant to be as the rugby player was sent home after that performance.
They were sadly eliminated from the competition after their take of the Rumba failed to wow the judges.
Saturday also saw Judi Love and her professional partner take the week off to recover after she contracted COVID-19.
Fans will have to tune into BBC on Saturday to see what Tilly and Nikita have up their sleeves for their Halloween themed performance.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays at 7pm on BBC One.
