Strictly fans go wild as they spot Danny Dyer in audience supporting EastEnders co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis

Strictly Come Dancing fans went wild on Saturday night as they spotted Danny Dyer in the audience.

The actor, 44, appeared to be supporting his EastEnders co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis who performed a Cha Cha Cha to Raspberry Beret by Prince with pro partner Giovanni Pernice.

Rose, who is the first deaf contestant to take part in Strictly, plays Danny's character's Mick Carter's onscreen daughter Frankie Lewis on the BBC One soap.

During Saturday's episode, the camera suddenly panned onto Danny in the audience after Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin's Paso Doble.

Strictly fans went wild after spotting Danny as they took to Twitter to share their excitement.

One person said: "Not danny dyer in the audience for rose #strictly," followed by a crying emoji.

A different account put: "Can’t say I expected to see Danny dyer on strictly #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing," followed by crying emojis.


While another follower commented: "Not Danny Dyer in the audience omg #Strictly," with crying emojis.

During the show, Rose and Giovanni received 27 points from the judges — Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

It was announced in August that Rose would be joining the show, she said at the time: "To be the first deaf contestant on Strictly Come Dancing is sooooo exciting… and a little bit scary.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday nights with the results show on Sundays on BBC One.
