While the show only reached the halfway point last week, Tess revealed at the end of last night's live show that next week is the quarter final on December 5.
That means the semi-final will be on Saturday December 12 and then the grand final will take place on Saturday, December 19.
The news was also confirmed tonight ahead of the results show by the BBC announcer, who said ahead of Countryfile that the final is "three weeks away".
Viewers were shocked by the news, with one writing on Twitter: "Hard to believe the Quarter Final is next week already."
Another tweeted: "quarter final next week??!! already??! i can’t deal with this."
A third agreed, writing: "If the quarter final is next week that means there’s only 3 weeks left of #strictly."
Next week's quarter final will have a musicals theme, which the celebrities and fans are equally excited for.
This week's show saw Clara Amfo find herself at the bottom of the leaderboard after forgetting parts of her Jive routine.
Meanwhile at the top of the leaderboard was HRVY, who achieved a perfect score, which has never happened before in week six.
It was also the first time a couple's choice routine had achieved a perfect score, and it was HRVY's partner Janette's first ever full marks too.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday, December 5 on BBC One.
