Saved By The Bell's Lisa Turtle to make surprise return – but what does it mean for her bitter feud with co-stars?

SAVED By The Bell's Lisa Turtle is to make a surprise return to the reboot – despite a bitter feud with her co-stars.

Actress Lark Voorhies played Lisa on the original series alongside the likes of Mark Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley.

While many of the original cast members had been invited back for the Peacock reboot, Lark was initially overlooked.

But now it's been revealed Lisa will be back after all, with Lark as a grown up fashionista version of the character.

NBC’s streaming service states: ‘When the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion.’

Lark's return may come as a surprise to some fans considering how vocal she was about her co-stars and the reboot earlier this year.

The star – who has bipolar – told Dr. Oz in February: "I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved by the Bell reunion, as well as other cast members’ events.

“Yet of course, I also realised that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision.”

Dr Oz asked her: "Now over the years, Lark's former castmates have reunited on-screen and off-screen. "Here's a photo of them with their spouses celebrating 30 years of friendship.

"So Lark, as you look at that photo, and I know you know about these reunions, how does it make you feel when you see them socialising?”

She replied: “Empowered. They have the right to do that and they're happy in their element and they can have it, certainly.”

But when asked if she would have liked to have been included in those get togethers, she replied: "Well, yes. Family isn't kept complete without its lead.”

Saved By The Bell will be available to watch on Peacock from November 25.
