Richard Hammond left Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes stunned during his appearance on This Morning as he revealed his brand new tattoo.
The Grand Tour presenter opened up about turning 50 when he admitted he had got a tattoo to celebrate – well kind off.
So it was unsurprising that Ruth and Eamonn couldn't believe it when they saw their own faces on his skin.
"Well, I've long been planning to get a tattoo," Richard began saying hesitantly.
Eamonn probed: "And?"
"I have actually done it," Richard said, shocking Ruth as she asked him to show them.
Richard replied: "Well, I'll be honest – I've only just had it done and I haven't shown Mindy, my wife, yet."
Ruth gasped: "What, literally just?!"
He continued: "I've been meaning to do it for ages and I just thought…"
Ruth asked him: "Did she not want you to have one done?"
"No," he replied. "But I haven't…"
Ruth and Eamonn finally got Richard to agree to show his tattoo and he rolled up his sleeve.
Richard addressed his wife, saying: "Mindy, I'm sorry I didn't show you."
Feigning pain, Richard quipped that there was "probably blood on his shirt" before revealing a fake tattoo of Eamonn and Ruth.
The presenters burst into laughter over the joke as they were mercilessly ribbed by Richard for falling for it.
*This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
