Piers Morgan slams Madonna as 'rude and vain' after divisive Graham Norton chat

Piers Morgan has slammed Madonna’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show as ‘rude, vain, obnoxious and ridiculous’.

Madonna joined Danny Boyle, Lily James and Himesh Patel on the red sofa partway through the episode and as soon as she walked out she said she was ‘not used to sharing a sofa’ before she asked Graham what happened with his suit and if he wanted to pull her corset down.

The 60-year-old hitmaker was promoting her new album Madame X and her decades-long career but Piers wasn’t alone in finding atmosphere on the sofa awkward.

‘Woke up still cringing at Madonna on Graham Norton,’ shared one fan on Saturday while another added: ‘Catching up with last nights Graham Norton and for the first time ever I couldn’t watch til the end.

‘That Madonna interview was so uncomfortable. She clearly believes her own hype.

‘Graham is such a pro, I love his style, but there was no saving that awkward mess.’

Good Morning Britain host Piers was also watching on Saturday morning, and he shared: ‘Madonna on Norton: rude, vain, obnoxious & looked ridiculous.’

Later Sir Ian McKellan joined the sofa and many felt she was rude to the legendary actor when she admitted she couldn’t remember the encounter she had with him in the 1990s.

When Ian then revealed he recently celebrated his 80th birthday with friends flying in from LA, he looked at Madonna and she quipped ‘wasn’t me’.

To which he snarked back: ‘You weren’t invited because you didn’t remember working with me.’
