Peter Andre’s wife Emily reveals real reason she never puts her children on social media | The Sun

PETER Andre’s wife Emily has revealed the real reason she won’t be showing her children’s faces on social media.

The NHS doctor, 33, made the decision when Amelia, eight, and Theo, five, were born and says it’s because she can’t see “any benefit” for them and she doesn’t want them to feel like they are working.

Emily is also step mum to Pete’s kids with Katie Price, Princess, 15, and Junior, 17, – both of whom use social media.

Speaking to The Sun to mark the return of the We Eat Balanced campaign from the AHDB, Emily insisted she didn’t regret her decision to keep them offline, but admitted things could always change.

She told us: “I am going to wait for them to decide, I have to say I never regret the decision, in fact the opposite.

“I think the older they get, I am really glad I have done it that way because I would have to really think through what would be the benefit for them and at the moment, I don’t see what the benefit would be.

“It wouldn’t necessarily do any harm, but I can’t see what the benefit would be and that is my compass.”

The star mused: “The point may come where there is a benefit for them, whether they just enjoy having social media or they want people to chat to and then that’s fine, as long as they can understand it and weigh it up. But the age they are at the moment, I don’t think they can.”

Asked if she would involve them in any of her own campaigns, or ones with Pete, she explained: “There are certain things where I think it’s really nice to share aspects of our life because I like to see things other people are up to, so it’s swings and roundabouts.

“I think I never wanted them to feel like they were working when they are still young. I want them to enjoy their lives but there are some things that they may feel are fun for them , they might want to be more involved.”

And she’s hasn’t completely ruled out doing reality TV with them, which is something Pete’s oldest kids both did growing up.

“It’s tough to say, it depends,” Emily admitted. “My barometer is always what’s in it for them that they would enjoy, then I wouldn’t be against it.”

Emily was transformed into a real life Iron Woman to encourage Brits to adopt a balanced diet, which contains plenty of iron and vitamin B12.

She admitted she was hesitant to pose completely in silver paint but felt it was an important issue to raise awareness for.

“I’m naturally quite shy, I have never done anything like that in my life, so I considered it for a couple of days. I loved it.  Pete loved them,” she said of the snaps.

“It was good for me confidence wise because it was so out of my comfort zone. I felt really good afterwards.”
