With season 19 of NCIS: Los Angeles right around the corner, the likes of Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) have a lot to live up to in terms of the high octane action sequences the previous series delivered. This was no more evident in the season 18 finale on CBS, as the pair, Sam (LL Cool J), and Roundtree (Caleb Castille) tracked down a rather odd case of militarized dolphins. But it wasn’t just in the episode that the drama intensified as Admiral Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) had some rather surprising words of warnings in a new deleted scene.
The moment came after Deeks was kidnapped by Kirkin (Ravil Isyanov) and his Russian gang, only to be let loose in order to relay to NCIS Kirkin needs help against a disgruntled former ally, Igor Two.
Meanwhile, Sam was taking on the case of a shot dolphin, which was found to be implanted with a Russian military microchip.
As their investigations and missions played out, it soon became clear the two cases began to overlap.
And when Deeks and Kensi plotted their next steps in a season 18 deleted scene [via @ericchristianolsenfan], Kilbride cryptically ordered the pair to take no prisoners.
“Admiral,” Deeks said as he and Kensi prepped to head to the aquarium in the season 18 finale.
Keen to know what the pair had planned in order to track down the shooter of the murdered dolphin, Kilbride bypassed the small talk: “Whats the plan?”
“We’re going to set up a perimeter around the aquarium and see if we can get eyes on one or both Igors,” Kensi told her boss.
Deeks then weighed in: “And see if this is where they stashed the rest of those Russian military dolphins.”
“Good luck with that,” Kilbride replied before issuing a rather dark and mysterious order to the two.
Kilbride added: “Oh, if you find that any of these Russians put a bullet into that dolphin’s skull,
“Hopefully he attacks you with lethal force,” Kilbride added, alluding to the fact Kensi and Deeks would be able to unleash deadly force if that were the case.
“Admiral!” a surprised Deeks said as he and Kensi made their exit. “Copy that.”

NCIS LA season 13: Hetty Lange returning to face ‘volatile’ new foe
With Kilbride’s ominous message ringing in their ears, Kensi let out a laugh as she and her other half exited.
Luckily, there was no need for Deeks or Kensi to kill any assailants as it turned out the Russian gang were just as fond of the dolphins as the team.
In fact, the killed dolphin was the result of an accident when the Russians accidentally shot at a trainer while trying to remove the microchips.
Sadly, the dolphin died but it gave the finale plenty more scope to address the emotional reunions and farewells it delivered.
Nell (Renee Felice Smith) and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) both announced their exits from the tea in the final episode.
Meanwhile, Hetty (Linda Hunt) made a surprise return to the fray following a season-long absence.
The emotional farewells and comebacks teed up a tantalising season 13.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 19 premieres on CBS in the USA on October 10. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
