Nadia Sawalha breaks down in tears as she reveals ADHD diagnosis on Loose Women

Nadia Sawalha broke down in tears on Thursday's episode of Loose Women as she revealed her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis.

During the episode, the presenter, 58, took part in a special ADHD segment where she spoke to others with the condition, including her husband Mark Adderley.

In a pre-recorded VT, Nadia revealed that she had done a questionnaire and later met up with a specialist called Rebecca to go through an assessment.

As part of the assessment, Nadia went through everything in her childhood to her adult life, looking at the ways she has handled things or felt.

In particular, Nadia noticed she had low self esteem and has also stopped herself from driving due to "losing consciousness".

At the end of the assessment, the specialist said: "The symptoms you exhibit are consistent with ADHD."

To which Nadia got emotional over the diagnosis as she said: "I don't know why that makes me cry, sorry!"

It then cut to the studio where Nadia gave a live update since her diagnosis and encouraged viewers to get checked.

She said: "If any of this resonates with you, just investigate it a bit further because I am now finding out so much stuff. I have now started medication and things are really changing for me."

Viewers were quick to praise Nadia for sharing her diagnosis on the ITV chat show and raising awareness of ADHD.

One person tweeted: "#LooseWomen so proud of you Nadia."

A different account put: "@loosewomen thank you so much for talking about ADHD today it shockingly resonated with me to the point I completed an online test and now need to book an appointment with GP."

Another follower wrote: "@loosewomen everything Nadia is saying regarding ADHD! It’s me…I stress about being late and I always drag myself down! Thank you for highlighting this."

While a different viewer added: "@loosewomen Nadia covering her #ADHD diagnosis. Great coverage on adhd women being seen!"
