Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards appeared on Friday's edition of This Morning to talk about their new single Confetti.

Speaking via videolink, the girls admitted to ITV hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond that Jesy Nelson's departure last year has changed then as a band.

Jade explained: "We are very much still solid and going strong.

"It's definitely is a shift but we have to respect each other and I think moving forward we didn't want to call it a day.

"We wanted to still go on. I think the fans are really happy. we are so excited now."

Putting a positive spin on the news, she added: "We have got a really busy year ahead of us and lots for songs and iconic videos.

"We have the the year anniversary as well."

Little Mix's new single Confetti is the titled song from their sixth studio album which was recorded with Jesy.

However, the new single has been rerecorded as a trio in light of the Essex starlet's decision to quit last winter.

Daily Star recently revealed how Jesy has been recording her debut album in West London.

The Shout Out To My Ex singer has been hiring out the same plush studio that Sam Smith used to create their record breaking debut album.

In March we told how Jesy has decided to split with Sony Music despite having the option to stay with the label following her departure from Little Mix.

A source said: "It's no secret Jesy has been hitting the studio recently but she's no longer with RCA.

"It looks almost certain that she's parted ways with Sony as a whole as well.

"She's looked for a whole new team and since splitting with Little Mix Jesy has been pitched around for a new PR to head up her upcoming projects.
