Kourtney Kardashian slammed as a 'moron' for spreading 'ridiculous' COVID-19 mask conspiracy with 'no medical evidence'

KOURTNEY Kardashian has been slammed for spreading a “ridiculous” COVID-19 mask conspiracy theory that experts say is not backed with any “medical evidence.”

On Saturday, the KUWTK star shared a graphic with her 102 million Instagram followers that claimed surgical masks could cause life-threatening health risks, despite no scientific proof this is the case.

Kourtney, 41, posted the message on Halloween day which read: “Those Blue Masks Mandated at grocery stores & airplanes are made of PTFE, a carcinogen made of synthetic fluoride.

“According to Cancer.Org it increases the risk of liver, testicle, pancreas, kidney & breast tumors + ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, preeclampsia and high cholesterol.

"High exposure can cause influenza-like symptoms and hemorrhaging in the lungs, leading to suffocation.”

The reality star appeared worried, as she added a wide-eyed and exploding head emoji on top of the alarming message.

However, according to the American Cancer Society, there is no backing to support this claim.

Dr. William Cance told the NY Post: “There is no evidence to support the claim that the presence of PTFE in a mask causes cancer.

“As a surgical oncologist, I, along with thousands of colleagues in the health-care profession, have been wearing masks for years to protect patients from the spread of infections."

The doctor added that “influenza-like symptoms” that Kourtney mentioned could only occur if the chemical compounds in the mask material was heated to more than 500 degrees and then consumed into the body.

Kourtney’s message was immediately blasted by fans who were outraged she would spread such a “ridiculous” conspiracy.

“The way kourtney kardashian is trying to delegitimize mask use is trash. it’s safe to assume she’s anti-vaxx too. she used to be my fav out of them, i’m disappointed,” one critic wrote.

Another scolded the Poosh founder: “Kourtney Kardashian spreads COVID mask conspiracy on Instagram… welp, looks like she’s anti protection of any kind.”

“I think anyone that watches the kardashians could quite confidently tell you that Kourtney Kardashian is a bit of moron but that f**kin scaremongering mask s**t she put on her Insta story is a new level of stupidity i actual can’t,” one furious Twitter user wrote.

One more said: The scariest thing to happen on Halloween this year is Kourtney Kardashian posting this utterly ridiculous post about blue masks with no medical evidence or proof.

“It’s just some random screenshot. Medical professionals worldwide wear them but this screenshot means it's true…"

The backlash comes following a string of negative press for the Kardashian-Jenner clan in the midst of both the election and the pandemic.

Kendall Jenner’s 25th birthday party came under first after it was thrown on Halloween night for allegedly violating several of the Los Angeles CDC guidelines.

The large gathering is said to have had over 100 guests and has been getting a wave of heated reaction online.

Kim Kardashian was also slammed last week for boasting about flying over 20 family members and friends to a private island on a luxury jet.

The family was dragged for being “so out of touch” as many people continue to struggle financially from the global health crisis.

Kourtney also came under fire last month when she sported a “Vote For Kanye” hat on her Instagram.

Her support for her brother-in-law, Kanye West’s presidential bid was labeled “distasteful” in the wake of the election.
