I’m A Celebrity’s Scarlette Douglas set to ‘replace’ GMB star after jungle fame

Following a flurry of success since her appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!,Scarlette Douglas has revealed she's set to “replace” a legendary host on Good Morning Britain over the festive period.

The star, 35, will join the morning show as the programme's showbusiness correspondent while Richard Arnold takes time off the the holidays

Announcing the news on her Instagram story, she told fans: “I probably shouldn't have told you just yet in case they decide they don't want me anymore.

“But yes, I am going to be covering for the legend that is Richard Arnold on GMB, the Entertainment section, Good Morning Britain. I'm actually going to be covering over the festive period. Mind Blown!"

The star became a fan favourite with viewers for her dance moves as well as her quizzing of Boy George on the ITV show and has a long career in presenting.

Before camp she was known for her presenting work on the Channel 4 series, A Place In The Sun as well as her various appearances on other shows including The One Show as well as Channel 5's Jeremy Vine.

She’s now lined up her biggest gig yet as she steps in for the legendary host while he enjoys his Christmas break.

Describing the her time since exiting the jungle as “mental,” she also discussed some other exciting work she has planned as some of Britain’s top telly show’s line the star up for hosting slots.

Scarlette, 35, added: "This past week, in fact, since I've got back from the jungle things have been mental.

"So I have my own segment on Lorraine now, I'm covering over Christmas for Richard Arnold on GMB, I'm going to have my own radio show on Heart for Christmas Eve.

“I'm going to be on Soccer AM! Oh my goodness there is so much happening!"

But while her career continues to soar, she admitted some of her friendships from the show have fizzled out.

Despite being close to radio legend Chris Moyles in the Australian camp, Scarlette revealed Chris ghosted her after spending almost three weeks together.

The TV presenter has been messaging the radio DJ, 48, but he has failed to respond to her voice messages.

Scarlette told host Johnny Seifert that Chris is too busy to reply to her messages on The Insecure podcast: “since we've come out, I kind of message him a bit, and he doesn't really get back to me.

“So if you're listening, Chris, can you please reply to my voice note?”
