Harry Redknapp joined Jeremy Vine on his Channel 5 show to discuss the Euro 2020 final on Sunday as England prepare to take on Italy. The football legend explained he felt Brits should all get behind Gareth Southgate’s team and revealed he had wanted Scotland and Wales to succeed earlier in the competition.

The former England player was asked: “Should all of the UK get behind England?”

Harry said: “Well I would be supporting Scotland if they [progressed to the last 16].

“I wanted Scotland to win every game when I watched them apart from they played England.

“I was supporting Wales, you’ve got to support your closet neighbours.”
