Love Island presenter Iain Stirling said the idea of a middle-aged version of the hit dating show would be a "good idea."
Speaking to The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jonas, Iain remained tight-lipped on information about the current series airing from South Africa, but gave his own thoughts on rumours of a Love Island for older contestants.
"i think a middle aged Love Island is such a good idea," he said. "Imagine that, think of the baggage."
"Emotional and actual!" he laughed.
Elsewhere in the show, Jermaine tried to get more gossip from Iain about the current series, but Iain revealed the reason why he couldn't dish the dirt.
"I know one good looking young person leave tonight," he said. "But that's all I know."
"I'm not trusted with this information!" he revealed. "If I was I'd tell everyone I knew so it's probably a good thing."
"It's way above my paygrade," Iain continued.
The middle-aged Love Island was confirmed to be brand new show, The Romance Retreat, and already has celebrities like Martin Lewis and Ulrika Jonsson clambering forward to host the show and Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls told viewers that he "wants to be a contestant."
An online teaser on ITV's website shares more information about the new dating show and says they're looking for kids to nominate their "single parents" to go on the show.
"ITV1 are looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show! This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat, where all the parents have been nominated by their grown up children."
You can apply to nominate someone HERE with the closing date for applications being Friday, March 31.
