I Hate Suzie Too follows Billie Piper’s uncontrollable character as she tries to pick up the pieces of her personal and professional life. She’s lost her husband, is no longer a hit performer and is desperate to restore her reputation.

Season two, will see Suzie fight to regain the love of the British public whilst her personal life spirals out of control.

She hires a new agent, new PR and lands a new job dancing on Dance Crazee, a reality TV competition that has the audience hooked.

Having lost everyone who matters to her, Suzie returns to her first love – the public.

Will she win their hearts and votes as she tries to restore her reputation?

And just how far will she go to be back in the public’s goodbooks?

With the merry-go-round of constantly battling her ex husband Cob (played by Daniel Ings) and enlisting her estranged best friend Naomi (Leila Farzad), Suzie must try to keep life as stable as possible for her young son Frank, (Matthew Jordan-Caws).

Suzie has to try and do all of the above whilst staying on Dance Crazee long enough to finance her new role as single mum and ex- wife.

Written by Lucy Prebble and co-created by the show’s lead Billie, the fictional script draws on her experience as child star and the pressures of fame which came with it.

Speaking to the Radio Times she said: “There are lots of moments I really wouldn’t want people to think were autobiographical.

“They are real feelings that Lucy and I discussed, but the actual narrative is completely made up.”

The former Dr Who star admitted the script draws on real feelings, but confirmed the actual narrative was completely made up.

The former singer also revealed she is still coming to terms with being a child star.

She said: “In my 20s a lot of my stress from that period was buried, and I struggled to remember a lot of it.”

A brand new teaser image shows Suzie in a clown costume and full face paint as she gets ready for her role on the reality dance series.

Billie shared the teaser image with her fans on Instagram and wrote: “I Hate Suzie Too would be a Christmas special like never before. Can you really dance all your troubles away? Asking for a friend.”

Billie stated there are plenty of positives to playing Suzie as it’s her chance to perform in a show similar to Strictly Come Dancing or The Masked Dancer, without being asked to take part.

She told The Guardian: “What’s good about doing [I Hate Suzie] is that it feels like I’m getting to do Strictly without having to do it.”

Of her character dancing in season two she said: “I pitched the idea to Lucy a couple of years ago because I wanted to dance.

“I realised I feel so happy when I’m dancing, and it’s something that I just never do.

“I don’t even do it in a partying way. I just don’t do it anymore, so it was a beautiful thing.”

I Hate Suzie Too is streaming on Sky Atlantic and NOW from Tuesday 20 December.
