Hollyoaks ' Mitchell Drinkwell-Deveraux (Imran Adams) is set to make a devastating discovery as he finds out that his brother Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) murdered their cousin Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji).
Toby has resented his sibling for quite some time and on Mitchell's wedding day to Scott he entered his hotel room and proceeded to commit murder.
However, a shock twist revealed that it wasn’t actually Mitchell that was his victim, but rather Lisa — which left Toby in shock.
Celeste (Andrea Ali) aided her brother Toby in getting rid of both the body and the evidence, and so far Lisa’s murder has remained a secret, until now.
The murder bombshell is set to take centre stage as part of the Channel 4 soap's 25th anniversary later this month.
Hollyoaks bosses dropped a teaser trailer on social media on Monday which shows the moment when Mitchell finds Lisa's dead body in the boot of Toby's car.
Toby catches Mitchell just as she makes the horrific discovery.
Mitchell tries to make a run for it and escape his brother's evil clutches but will he make it out alive?
In exclusive odds shared with Daily Star Online, bookmakers Ladbrokes have Toby have to murder Mitchell odds on at 2-1.
It was confirmed last month that Imran Adams will be leaving his role as Mitchell.
Mitchell first appeared on the Channel 4 soap in February 2019 but will be making his exit when his contract expires.
"Imran Adams will be leaving Hollyoaks later this year at the end of his current contract," a spokesperson for the show confirmed.
Mitchell has featured in a number of major storylines including one in which he struggled with his sexuality as a gay man.
News of Imran's exit came not long after it was confirmed Rachel Adedeji, who played Lisa Loveday, would be leaving as well.
Rachel's decision to leave was made last year, with the star filming her final scenes just before lockdown.
Several familiars are set to return to the village over the next few weeks to mark Hollyoaks' milestone birthday.
Jorgie Porter, Kieron Richardson and Jeremy Edwards are all making a comeback as Theresa McQueen, Ste Hay and Kurt Benson.
Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 tonight at 6.30pm followed by a first look screening on E4 at 7pm
