Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal joined Janette Manrara on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two on Wednesday to reflect on the previous weekend’s performance. On Saturday, Hamza told Claudia Winkleman he was “just too big to Jive” but Jowita insisted this was not the case during the mid-week chat.
Janette remarked: “When you were in Claudia’s area you said that you were too big for the Jive but Jowita come on when you see something like that, you must be proud.”
Jowita replied: “Of course and you’re absolutely not too big for the Jive you’re meant to Jive.”
The Countryfile host was embraced by the Ballroom and Latin dancer on the It Takes Two sofa in a touching moment of support.
In the interview, Hamza admitted he “struggled” with the Jive during rehearsals.

He said: “If I’m honest, I struggled and you can see the celebration at the end of the dance when Jowita jumped on me because all throughout rehearsals I couldn’t get my timing it’s so quick for me.
“The only way I could keep up was to count, count out loud which Motsi [noticed].”
Hamza continued: “I must admit that Jowita held me throughout the whole week and kept me going.
“Mentally I think it was tough for me it started off tough for me but we got there in the end, didn’t we?”
Hamza scored 24 for his week two dance and received four from Craig Revel Horwood.
This was a stark difference from his week one routine which saw him top the leaderboard.
He commented: “I liked the Foxtrot and the hold and because Jowita is there I can feed off of her.
“If I’m doing something wrong she could put me back into alignment but the Jive there were bits where we were separated and I struggled.”

Jowita rushed to praise her Strictly partner and explained “something clicked” for Hamza on Saturday.
“You did an amazing job and I’m so proud of you,” Jowita. “It’s not perfect but it’s week two.”
“I think he did such an amazing job and as he said before, he struggled all week.
“So to get that dance on the Saturday, I was just impressed how he could switch because, honestly, a day before we he was…so worried about it and then something clicked on Saturday.”
“I was just so proud because I know he has everything inside and he needs to get that confidence and show it,” Jowita added.
For Movie Week, Hamza and Jowita will be performing a Rumba to the theme tune of the film Jurassic Park.
The Countryfile presenter joked “people are disappointed” as the couple will not be dressing up as dinosaurs for the routine.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday at 6.30pm.
