Emmerdale fans work out who will die in 50th anniversary storm stunt | The Sun

EMMERDALE's 50th anniversary is fast approaching and rumours are swirling around online about how it could be celebrated.

Fans of the ITV soap are speculating scheming businessman Al Chapman will die in a terrifying twist.

Stormy weather will be hitting the eponymous village in October, 2022, as confirmed by soap bosses.

Producers and writers have promised chaos will rip through the Dales like never before as a deadly storm will leave several characters fighting for their lives and viewers have an idea of who is likely to get the chop.

Fans of the Yorkshire-based soap have taken to a Digital Spy forum to share their theories and Michael Wildman's on-screen alter ego has made the list of those most likely to die during Emmerdale's anniversary week.

"They probably will kill someone off, they wouldn't miss that chance. It wouldn't be any of the holy Dingles, especially as we are set up to lose one anyway", one of them first wrote as a mention to a terminally ill Faith Dingle.

"It will probably be Al though, the culmination of the absolutely thrilling affair storyline", they added.

"He will have fulfilled his purpose. His ex-wife has gone, his kid has gone . . he is now just a Dingle storyline enabler and his tragic death will further enable the despicable Chas and give her some more grief and sympathy to presumably make us love her even more."

Another quickly jumped on and agreed but murder could be in the cards.

"Can see Al being murdered in a whodunnit but whoever it was getting away (for now) as it will be made to look like he was killed in the storm."

A third viewer chimed in: "Would definitely see Al dying" while another penned: "Al will likely die saving Chas or something."

But the second fan mentioned Al could be suspected of fathering Amelia Spencer's baby which would give many villagers a reason to want him dead.

However, not many fans agreed with this part of the theory.

One viewer joked instead: "Al and Chas would probably be in a compromising position when a tree falls on them."

"Al could be the only death during the storm", another concluded.
