Danny Dyer has given hope to viewers who were crush by Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) exit earlier this year as the Carters’ baby drama continues on EastEnders.
Viewers know that Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is pregnant with Max’s child after their brief, lockdown-induced fling.
Her husband Mick (Dyer) vowed to stand by her and together they have been trying to keep the truth about Linda’s pregnancy a secret from the rest of the Square after they learned Max had kidnapped baby Abi.
The Branning businessman made a low key exit earlier this year as actor Jake bowed out after 15 years in the role.
Linda rejected Max’s offer to fly to New Zealand and despite his best efforts to win her back he found himself alone.
As his family urged him to make a clean break, Max packed his bags and said goodbye to Walford.
According to Danny though it might not be the last we’ve seen of him.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday he said: ‘It’s open for him to come back for sure. The fact that he’s now got a baby with Linda, the drama really, it only works if he’s about.
‘We’re in the realms of the Square finding out, which means that we’re panicking really and we need to get out of the Square.’
Upcoming scenes will see Linda backed into a corner as Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) starts to piece together the truth about the father of her baby.
It comes as Linda starts to feel bad when she sees Rainie desperately missing Abi.
She tries to make her feel better, but fears she will learn her big secret. Things only get worse when Vi Highway (Gwen Taylor) comments on how ‘big’ Linda is looking for how far along she is, and the cogs start turning for Rainie.
Will she be found out?
