Chaos is about to erupt on Coronation Street as a whopping EIGHT babies will be on set for Chesney and Gemma's quads storyline, actor Sam Aston has revealed.
The couple recently discovered that Gemma isn't just pregnant with one baby – she's expecting four.
After seeing the consultant, however, both decided that they couldn't terminate any of the children and would try to look after them all.
But it looks like it will be a rocky time on set when the babies eventually arrive – as actor Sam, who plays Chesney, believes that they will need a pair of twins to play each baby.
Appearing in his first solo TV interview on This Morning today, Sam said: "I do believe they are [soul mates]… they do seem to work and we have great fun together."
Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield suggested that it would be chaos on set working with all the babies, and Sam agreed.
"Normally when you have a baby you have twins," he said as he recalled working with Joseph. "I imagine you have to have double… so eight babies!
