It was a slow start this Saturday morning for the BBC Breakfast presenters. By sunrise they seemed to still be asleep, so much so that Jon Kay, didn’t even recognise where he was and thought the studio had moved overnight, and Naga Munchetty had to step in to correct him.
“I have got something joyful for you, have a look at this,” said Jon.
“Let’s look out the window because the sun is shining over Media City over Manchester there, beautiful view,” continued the presenter.
“It might be freezing cold, but apparently…” he said before Naga had to step in to correct his blunder.
“That’s London isn’t it?,” she said.
The view the presenters were looking at wasn’t in fact just outside the window of their Salford Quays studio.
“I thought the view had changed somewhat overnight,” pondered Jon.
“It’s actually London, alright fine,” he added Jon, laughing along with Naga.
After his blunder though, he moved on quickly saying: “Headlines and geography lessons coming up.”
