Amy realising she and Curtis aren't a Love Island favourite was priceless

Love Island’s Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard got the shock of their lives on Thursday when they realised that they are not, in fact, the new Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham of the villa.

The 27-year-old flight attendant’s face was a picture of thunder when she found herself and her half-boyfriend in the bottom of the pile, scraping by on the skin of their teeth as the islanders chose to send home Arabella Chi and Tom Walker.

Still, it brought the pair down from the clouds of couple perfection, with viewers gleefully enjoying the look of fury on Amy’s face.

Caroline Flack went into the villa last night to reveal the couples that had been voted the public’s favourite; Tommy and Molly-Mae, Lucie and Anton and Amber and Michael were the nation’s top three faves.

Given that Anton chose Lucie so she could meet her surfer boy and they’re essentially in a bro-ship, the public picking them over the villa’s mum and dad must have grated on Amy’s nerves.

Viewers took to Twitter, where they couldn’t help but laugh at Amy’s fall.

One viewer found it amusing that the pair ‘really thought they were the new dani and jack.’

Another added: ‘I love the shock on their faces it’s brilliant’ and a second viewer added their reaction ‘honestly’ made them ‘cringe.’

Another viewer is suggesting that one of their heads will turn in the upcoming Casa Amor date. They wrote: ‘I wonder if not being in the top 3 couples will make Amy or Curtis reassess their alliance…they now KNOW that they haven’t captured the hearts of the British public…

‘…JUST IN TIME for Casa Amora!![SIC]’

‘PREDICTION: One of their heads will turn!!’

Trouble may be ahead for even the most secure couples as the girls get sent to Casa Amor, where they will meet the new blokes waiting for them.

Six hunky men in total.

Whose head will turn? Maura and Lucie, both looking for love in the villa, were ecstatic to learn about the new contestants and viewers think Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill are one of the couples in the danger zone after a mini-spat.

Curtis seems to have given off the vibes that he’s not interested in Amy Hart, and she may well take a dip in a different ocean now that she’s learned they’re not the favourites.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
