Christmas is a time for celebrations, spending time with loved ones, and of course, seeing celebrities perform in pantomimes.

Many famous faces have dabbled in the world of panto over the years.

From soap stars to Britain's Got Talent winners, we've got the lowdown of our top celebs who have taken to the stage and given up their Christmas in the name of pantomime.

Jorgie Porter

You may know her from Hollyoaks and I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! But did you know that Jorgie once played Snow White?

The blonde bombshell, 31, starred as the leading role in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs back in 2016 at the Liverpool Empire.

It was her Panto debut, and the Snow White outfit certainly suited her.

Shirley Ballas

The Strictly Come Dancing head judge swapped the popular BBC show for the panto stage as she played Mother Nature in Jack and the Beanstalk.

Shirley performed in the show at the Darlington Hippodrome but unfortunately sustained an injury onstage.

She reportedly injured herself while dancing and had to leave the stage for treatment immediately.

Diversity

The dancing group famous for winning Britain's Got Talent back in 2009 have taken part in panto not once, but twice.

Diversity took to the stage for Aladdin at the Southend Cliffs Pavilion last year.

This year they're back at the same venue for the second year running in Robin Hood and his Merry Men.

Curtis Pritchard

That's right, Love Island hunk and ballroom dancer Curtis is taking to the stage in his first-ever panto.

The 23-year-old reality star is playing the leading role in Dick Whittington at the Wycombe Swan.

He signed the deal to be in the festive show while still in the Love Island villa.

Kerry Katona

Reality television royalty herself Kerry Katona has dabbled in the world of pantomime.

The ex-Atomic Kitten star is currently performing as evil Carabose in Sleeping Beauty.

She also played the Wicked step sister in Cinderella the pants last year at the Northwich Memoria Court Theatre.

Kerry definitely rocked the sexy wig and green lipstick.

Samantha Womack

EastEnders star Samantha was in panto before she began her stint as the beloved Ronnie Mitchell on the soap.

In 1999 she starred as Cinderella in the ITV Christmas pantomime alongside Harry Hill, Alexander Armstrong, Frank Skinner, Paul Merton, Ronnie Corbett.

She also played Fairy Bow Bells in Dick Whittington alongside fellow EastEnders actress John Partridge at Theatre Royal Plymouth last year.

Steve McFadden

The legendary EastEnders actor Steve took a break from playing Phil Mitchell to try his hand at performing in panto.

The EastEnders tough guy is starring in Peter Pan the panto at The Orchard in Dartford.

He's playing the villainous Captain Hook in the family show, and it's not his first stint onstage.

Steve played panto villain King Rat in Dick Whittington last year in Southhampton.
