The Walking Dead sees zombies – or walkers as they're known in the franchise – biting the living and infecting them, causing them to turn into the undead and roam the land in search of flesh.
And it seems one actor from the AMC series has taken his role a little too seriously, as he was jailed for assault after biting a fan he started dating after meeting at a convention.
American actor Michael Mundy, 52, met British mum Beverly Jackson, 41, at a fan convention eight years ago before he messaged her and asked to sleep in her spare room two years later on his next UK visit.
The duo started dating, with Beverly describing him as "charming", but things soon turned sour, with her saying that "he became more and more abusive".
She explained that Michael first attacked her when they were in a hotel room in Germany in 2018.
