Sam Smith isn't a fan of the most romantic day of the year as they compared Valentine's Day to a funeral.
The British singer, who is set to release new music soon, opened up about the 14th February and admitted they'd rather "destroy" the day than partake in the loved-up celebrations.
During a chat on Roman Kemps' Capital Breakfast show, Sam confessed being perpetually single has made them hate the day.
They said: "It’s my twenty-seventh year of being single on Valentine’s Day. I’m over it. It’s offensive. Yeah, I’m sad today. Today’s a sad day. It’s more like a funeral."

Over on Heart Breakfast with Jamie and Amanda, Sam added: "Look I don’t want to be a Debbie downer but this isn’t my favourite day. I’m quite anti-Valentine’s day."
Jamie mushed: "Am I right in saying it was invented by the card industry anyway?"
"It was invented by Clintons," Amanda replied.

And Sam explained: "Exactly. I used to work in Clinton cards, that’s probably why I hate Valentine’s day."
During their chat on Capital with I'm a Celeb Star Roman, the musician opened up about Billie Eilish's new James Bond theme song, No Time To Die.
The American hitmaker is the youngest ever star to ever write and record a James Bond theme, joining the ranks of artists like Adele and Sam, who recorded the official Bond song, Writing's On The Wall, for Spectre in 2015.

They said: "It’s so beautiful. I literally woke up like an hour and a bit ago and I was sitting on the toilet listening to it.
