Rebekah Vardy has promised that she is going to "clear my name" during her High Court case with Coleen Rooney following the Wagatha Christie scandal last year.
The 38-year-old wag, who is married to football star Jamie Vardy, is set to go head-to-head with Wayne Rooney's 34-year-old wife after Coleen accused Vardy of selling stories to the media about her.
After it was announced that Rebekah is appearing on Dancing On Ice's next series she appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about it and also opened up on other matters in her life – including the pending court case.
During the ITV show she opened up on how she tried to make it amicable at first.
Rebekah said on breakfast TV: "We tried to sort things out amicably but it didn't work. I understand people think it's ridiculous but what was I meant to do?
"I need to clear my name, I want to clear my name.
"I will do whatever it takes, and I hope it's going to be resolved soon."
GMB host Piers Morgan then asked Rebekah how "tough" she has found the gossip which has surrounded the scandal.
Rebekah, who has five children, answered: "I find it really tough but in comparison to what people have gone through with Covid and stuff, it's incomparable."
Following the scandal, Rebekah filed a High Court libel against Coleen in a bid to clear her name.
According to the Mirror, Coleen and Rebekah will face off in November.
Rebekah is seeking substantial damages in the subsequent libel trial, as she claims to have suffered "'severe and extreme hostility and abuse" in the fallout after the claims were published on Instagram.
