Busted singer, Matt Willis has opened up about the horrifying moment he forgot his sleeping toddler in the back of his car, as he went to see friends.
Speaking candidly on Dancing on Ice semi-finalist Ben Hanlin’s podcast Ben Behaving Dadly, the singer revealed his “most embarrassing parenting moment” after doing the school run.
Matt Willis is married to TV presenter Emma Willis and they share three children together, 11-year-old Isabelle, Ace, nine, and Trixie who is four.
Matt honestly admitted the moment on Ben’s podcast and said: “I can tell you the one moment that made me go ‘oh s***.’
“So I couldn’t find a place to park, school parking. So I parked the car. Got the kids out, had to drop them off. Dropped the first one off, dropped the second one off. I’m dropping the second child off, I’m talking to another parent.
“Suddenly, I thought to myself… this is nice. I’m talking to this parent, and I had had this overwhelming feeling. A different feeling I hadn’t felt for a while, which felt stress-free. Realising, I had left Trixie in the car.”

The father of three admitted that he was so engrossed in the conversation with the other parent he forgot he had a five-week-old baby in the car on her own.
The pop singer explained that he was so horrified by the moment that he abruptly left the parent mid-conversation.
“I mean I legged it. So literally I was in the middle of a conversation with these two parents, and I ran. I don’t think I’ve even explained to them why I’ve gone ‘Oh my God’ and ran off. “But then I ran back, checked, she was still asleep and everything was fine.”
The star confessed that he wanted to keep the moment a secret but later spilt the beans to his wife Emma.
Matt, 37, has been happily married to Emma, 45, for 12 years and currently live in Hertfordshire.
Last month the singer played his part to help stop the spread of Covid-19 by signing up with St John’s Ambulance team to help with the vaccine rollout.
The Busted star informed fans that although he won’t actually be administrating the vaccines, he will be helping people walk in and register on the computer. Good on you lad!
