EastEnders’ Adam Woodyatt spotted working on food stall during soap break

Adam Woodyatt has taken a break from businessman Ian Beale and opted to go into the food business as he serves up burgers and the like on a food stall in Buckinghamshire.

The EastEnders actor joined a pal in the kitchen as he handed out all sorts of food to the public while flashing a grin to punters.

Adam, 53, appeared at Pub In The Park in Marlow to give a helping hand to a friend.

It comes as Adam is on a break from the show after leaving in January when his character Ian discovered that his wife Sharon Mitchell had been poisoning him.

With plans to return in 2022 "at the earliest" while touring with theatre production Looking Dead Good, Adam used some of his free time to help at a pal at the food stall.

A source told The Sun : "Adam had a day off between shows so decided to help a mate out," and added that it looked like he knew what he was doing behind the bar.

The source said that multiple people didn't recognise him because of how different he's looking, but for those that did recognise him, Adam had a joke with them.

They added: "He joked with some punters that he wasn't really the EastEnders legend – and he told some customers he was being paid in food!"

Adam's decision to help a pal out came as his schedule has slowed down ever so slightly with the touring of the theatre production rather than rehearsals for he wild storylines on the evening soap.

He previously told The One Show that he's busy on the tour until the end of October, with his daughter getting married shortly after in the US.

Adam said: "There is a possibility the tour will carry on until early next year, so if the tour carries on I won't be back in EastEnders until 2022 at the earliest."

The actor is the longest serving cast member after joining EastEnders for its first episode in 1985, so fans are certainly hopeful that the controversial Ian Beale will be back on screen as soon as possible.

Although it's not clear how Ian will be welcomed back to the square, it's likely there may be some drama surrounding his relationship with Sharon, who previously targeted him after Ian locked Denny in a room which ultimately led to her son's death.
