Telly chef Tom Kerridge is offering couples a posh two-day pub crawl for £1,000.

They’ll be able to eat and drink at three of his boozers, which are less than a mile apart on the same road.

But punters were shocked at the cost. Fred Dutton said: “Get two weeks in Malta for that amount of cash.”

Another, Simon Tickner, posted: “The bloke is delusional.” And Paula Lee joked: “Start saving.”

Kerridge, 48, is offering couples a two-night stay in a luxury room at The Hand & Flowers gastro pub for two nights.

"They will get a three-course meal at the boozer in Marlow, Bucks, and dinner at another pub The Coach.

Couples will also get breakfast both mornings and a voucher to spend at a third of his pubs in the town The Butcher’s Tap & Grill.

His website adds: “£1,000 per couple. Available on Tuesday only.”

The Hand & Flowers is the world’s only two Michelin star pub and Sandra Meller said: “Sounds a lot but if you read what’s included.”

A spokesman for Tom was contacted for comment.

The MasterChef star has become a huge inspiration for many people after he managed to lose a whopping 12 stone by changing his diet and lifestyle.

He had become swamped in 90-hour work weeks due to his busy career, and soon piled on the pounds.

Previously speaking on This Morning following his weight loss transformation, Tom revealed the main issue people struggle with on diets nowadays.

He said: "The problem is with diets is that you change your diet and you stick to it for maybe two or three months.

"You've lost a bit of weight, so you go back to what you were doing."

Tom went on to unveil how he got around the set-backs of coming away from his diet that helped him shed a significant amount of weight.

"What I did was ditch all the carbs but I wanted to make sure I was eating foods that I could carry on enjoying," he explained.

The TV star referenced foods that are high in release of amino acids and dopamine.
