Netflix certainly loves to provide us with films and series to scare and traumatise us .
Now, fans of the horror genre have some more material to terrify them – and it might test even the most hardened of them.
'Eerie' is the new, chilling offering on the streaming giant which has left viewers too scared to go to sleep without the lights on.
So what's it all about then? And is this hype and praise (?) justified?
Set at a Filipino Catholic girls' school, the film shows guidance counsellor Pat Consolacion trying to get to the bottom of a student's mysterious death.
Fans came out in their droves to attest how terrifying the film is.
One tweeted: "Just watched Eerie on Netflix and guess who'll be sleeping with the lights on for a week?"
Another added: "Watching # Eerie on Netflix alone in a hotel is not a good idea," with a third adding: "Just watched Eerie on Netflix and umm where's my nightlight?? Scary af."

The synopsis from Star Cinema reads: "Pat Consolacion (played by Bea Alonzo), the school guidance counsellor, involves herself with the students in the hopes of helping them cope, and at the same time uncover the mysteries of the student's death.
