“She provided a second negative result on Thursday and has been allowed to leave.”

Zara’s whereabouts are unknown but, it’s been reported her 30 year old boyfriend Elliott must stay at the facility for at least ten days and provide two negative tests before he can leave.

It comes following reports the couple had planned on celebrating New Year in Barbados and were tested for the virus after landing on the island.

According to The Sun, Elliott tested positive for coronavirus and the pair were given red wristbands to wear, but cut them off and attempted to flee to the airport.

Island chief medical officer Dr Kenneth George told the publication: “There are three tourists who are of special interest. Two are in quarantine and one in police custody.

“Two were apprehended at the airport. This is a police matter and I trust that the appropriate evidence will be submitted.”

A spokesman for the country’s Ministry of Health and Wellness added: “We have had several verified complaints of breaches of Covid-19 protocols with respect to visitors in quarantine.
