Yes Share Cover Of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

Prog rock band Yes have shared a cover version of John Lennon‘s “Imagine.”

The cover was recorded during the encore on the final night of Yes’ 2019 tour. The track will be included on Yes’ upcoming album, The Royal Affair Tour: Live From Las Vegas, which is due for release on October 30.

The Royal Affair Tour: Live In Las Vegas was recorded at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in July 2019.

“Imagine” is a song from Lennon’s 1971 album of the same name. “Imagine” is the best-selling single of his solo career and was co-produced by Lennon, his wife Yoko Ono and Phil Spector.
The song had peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Yes also have a connection with the song, as the band’s drummer Alan White was a member of the Plastic Ono Band and played on the Imagine album. He also played on 1969’s Live Peace In Toronto 1969, Instant Karma! (1970) and Some Time In New York City (1972) before joining Yes.
