Why This Picture Of Zooey Deschanel Is Turning Heads

Zooey Deschanel is an actress known for playing Jovie in Elf, Summer in 500 Days of Summer, and Jess in New Girl (via IMDb). She is also the mother of two (daughter Elsie Otter and son Charlie Wolf, as reported by PopSugar), sister to actress Emily Deschanel, part of the musical duo She & Him, and in a relationship with Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s Property Brothers (via OK Magazine).

Physically, Deschanel is often compared to Katy Perry, as both celebs certainly have a similar look. In fact, according to Vanity Fair, Perry even used to pretend to be Deschanel, in order to get into clubs!  But while the pop star has experimented with many different looks and hair colors, Deschanel has remained true to her signature style, especially her hair. After all, fans have recognized her for years as Jessica Day, with bangs and glasses. Which is why, a recent Instagram post by the actress featuring a distinctly different look, has everyone going wild.

Zooey Deschanel revealed an often unseen facial feature to fans

A recent photo Zooey Deschanel shared to Instagram has a caption that reads, “For all the doubters”. The image itself has text on it, which says, “Proof I have a forehead,” and the picture is a selfie of Deschanel … with no bangs!

Fans were quick to take to the comments with one user sharing lyrics from the New Girl theme song: “Who’s that girl…” Another  stated that she didn’t even know it was Deschanel until she looked at the username. Many claimed the selfie was Photoshopped. Some joked it was Katy Perry playing a prank on everyone, and one user even compared it to when Clark Kent turns into Superman.

Zooey Deschanel may look very different without her signature fringe, and she even once told Glamour that she cultivated her signature look, “to help create an identity” and that “people know me as the girl with bangs,” but one thing is for sure, with them, without them, on our TV screens, or when snapping a selfie, she is gorgeous!
