Ray Liotta’s fiancée has spoken out following the actor’s death at the age of 67.
Liotta died on Thursday in his sleep, while he was away in the Dominican Republic shooting a new film.
He is survived by partner Jacy Nittolo, to whom he was engaged to be married.
Nittolo has now reflected on a ‘truly magical’ couple of years with the Goodfellas star, as she shared her devastation following his shock death.
Nittolo’s Instagram profile is bursting with pictures of her and Liotta, with her most recent being a series of personal snaps showing the couple laughing, kissing, and making memories with family.
She began in her caption: ‘My life these past couple of years have been nothing but truly magical. Ray and I share a deep love that I will cherish in my heart forever.’
‘We laughed daily and we were inseparable. The chemistry was wild in the best way,’ she added.
‘He was everything in the world to me and we couldn’t get enough of each other. The kind of real love that one dreams of.’
Nittola went on to describe Liotta as ‘the most beautiful person inside and out that I’ve ever known,’ but said ‘even that is an understatement.’
Many of the pictures Nittolo posted are from sunnier climates, and it is thought that she was with Liotta in the Dominican Republic at the time of his death.
She also included a picture of their children, who were actually responsible for the couple getting together by introducing them.
They got engaged in December 2020 and shared a blended family.
Liotta leaves behind 23-year-old daughter Karsen, whose mother is actress and producer Michelle Grace, to whom Liotta was married from 1997 to 2004.
Meanwhile, Nittolo has four children with ex husband and film producer, Joey.
They share Dax, 24, Chazz, 22, Jade, 19, and Joey, 11.
Tributes from friends and colleagues of Liotta’s have poured in over recent days, after news of his death sent shockwaves through TV, film and gaming communities.
He appeared in high spirits just four days before he died, posing for a smiley with a delighted fan in the Dominican Republic, where he was working on Dangerous Waters.
Sources told TMZ that the Field of Dreams and Something Wild actor was ‘in good spirits’ and ‘happy to be working.’
Co-stars including Goodfellas actress Lorraine Bracco shared that she is ‘utterly shattered’ after hearing the sad news of his death, while singer Jennifer Lopez thanked him for being ‘so kind’ to her children.
Martin Scorsese has also spoken out, saying he was left ‘shocked and devastated’ by the star’s ‘sudden and unexpected’ death.
