Ramz 'getting the support he needs' after sharing distressing 'suicide' post

Ramz is ‘in the right hands’ after posting a worrying caption about suicide.

The 22-year-old rapper concerned fans today when he changed his Twitter header to a distressing image of a silhouette of a body hanging.

Ramz, real name Ramone Rochester, also shared the picture to Instagram with the caption: ‘SUICIDE.’

As fans and friends of the rapper took to social media to share their concerns, Ramz’s mother and management team took over his accounts to let them know he was okay.

In a post shared to Twitter and Instagram, they said: ‘Thank you guys for all your messages. Ramz is in the right hands getting the support he needs.

‘From Mum and management.’

Ghetts and Dappy left heart and prayer emojis, with Wiley commenting: ‘Thank you’ and Chip writing: ‘Active Boyz all here for u my g… football as per on your return. Be strong. You will be fine. I pray you’re ok fam. KEEP ‘TRONG!!!’

Ramz’s Instagram account has now been wiped.

Fans on Twitter have claimed that the Barking rapper was receiving abuse and hate online over his music.

Author and creator Grace Victory tweeted: ‘This is the consequences of online hate and bullying. Ramz has such a kind heart and so many people on twitter constantly teared him down and said horrific things to him. Suicidal thoughts are often a result of feeling like you have no way out – shame on those who contributed.’

Ramz, from London, released his first track, I’m On My Grind, in February 2017, with further tracks being dropped throughout the year.

He achieved mainstream success with his single Barking in December, with the track peaking at number two in January 2018.

The rapper released his second EP Blockbuster in May.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Ramz’ rep for comment.
