Perry Farrell Releases New Solo Album ‘Kind Heaven’

Jane’s Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell released Kind Heaven, his first solo album in 18 years, on Friday.

“We’ll be entertaining you three-dimensionally, across all senses,” Farrell says in the album’s official press release.

The Tony Visconti-produced album features performances from Tommy Lee, Dhani Harrison, Taylor Hawkins, Elliot Easton, and Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney.

Kind Heaven is the title of both his new record and an orchestral project he is building in Las Vegas.

“I’m very happy with where I’m at. I want to maintain my health because I’m going to need it to get this project pulled off correctly.” Farrell said in a recent interview with Exclaim!

“At 50, your body, there’s some wear-and-tear, but now that I’m 60, my health is very good, because I understand that I can’t carry on like I used to,” said the singer, who has undergone six major surgeries in the last decade.
