The 30-year-old ‘If Pain Was a Person’ spitter famously opens up about his addiction to lean on his hit ‘Wockesha’ off his latest album, ‘A Gangsta’s Pain’.
AceShowbiz –Moneybagg Yo, born DeMario DeWayne White Jr., is focusing on self-improvement in 2022. Revealing that he has quitted lean, the “If Pain Was a Person” rapper claimed that he feels so much better now.
The 30-year-old Memphis native announced his sobriety via Twitter on Tuesday, January 4. “I use to think being sober would f**k wit my creative process, I see dats just a mind thing cuz I been more active skin glowing and I been dropping nun but pressure,” he wrote, adding the hashtag “#NomoWockesha.”
The post has been flooded with positive feedback from Moneybagg’s fans. “I have a lot of love and Respect you taking time out to post this on a Spiritual level it takes a lot of Pride .. #SoberGang #GodBody,” one person gushed.
Another raved, “That’s a Huge accomplishment!!! Very proud of you!!! Keep Goin LUV.” A third added, “That’s right love. Health is Wealth.” A different user then noted, “Great way to start 2022 off.”

Moneybagg is not the only hip-hop star who has embarked on sobriety. On December 22, 2021, Pooh Shiesty divulged that he has been sober while in jail. “My skin glowing since I been sober can’t go back to sipping lean,” the incarcerated emcee declared at that time.
“My mindset got different, I’m in prison before I’m sentenced they don’t even kno the life det I’m Living,” Pooh, who has been detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County, further explained. “Dey trynna paint the pic of a menace… FreeTheBiggest.”
