After seven years of perfectly toned twenty somethings gracing our screens it’s been reported ITV are launching a brand new Love Island for middle-aged singletons.
The dating show, which first aired in 2015, will see older contestants with ‘real bodies’ hoping for a second chance at love.
With a source telling The Sun more mature islanders will likely bring ‘intelligent conversation’ and a new perspective to TV screens.

The men and women will live together, much like the current format, however will be coupled up behind the scenes by their children and has the working title of ‘Your Mum, My Dad’.
A source went on to tell the publication: ‘Times change and the current generation in their 40s and 50s still care about how they look, are fit and healthy, into fashion and are ready to let their hair down.
‘This show will give those who settled down young a second chance at love while they still feel in their prime’.
MailOnline have contacted representatives for ITV and Love Island for comment.

While some have hailed the latest series as ‘the most diverse’ lineup to date, others viewers were ‘disheartened’ at the lack of inclusivity in terms of body shape.
One aggrieved viewer tweeted: ‘So when will there be plus size people? Or can only perfect bodies appear on the show?’
A second Twitter user expressed how it would be ‘nice to see people who look like you on telly: ‘I’m not being funny but can we have some gals who are maybe a size 16/18/20 on love island and some guys who aren’t massive spice boys pls,’ she added.

Last year, bosses defended the same claims of a lack of diversity, saying the Islanders have ‘healthy BMIs’.
Representatives for the reality show told MailOnline at the time: ‘As a broadcaster, ITV celebrates diversity of every sort across our range of programmes in our schedule and across our channels.
‘In terms of casting for Love Island, the only stipulation to applicants is they must be over 18, single and looking for love.
‘This is so disheartening’: Fans have slammed Love Island for casting the same body shapes ‘year after year’ and questioned the absence of ‘plus size’ contestants (Paige Thorne pictured)
‘This year’s Love Islanders come from a diverse range of backgrounds with a mix of personalities and have a healthy BMI.’
It comes after it was revealed four new bombshells will be entering the villa to cause chaos on Wednesday.
The Islanders receive a text inviting them to get ready to host welcome drinks for four new arrivals Jamie Allen, Reece Ford, Lacey Edwards and Nathalia Campos.

As night falls the bombshells make their way into the Villa, upon entering 25-year-old dancer Lacey says: ‘I am a sexy, single, show girl ready to turn some heads.’
The beauty added that she thinks her background as a dancer will help her on the show, saying: ‘I’ve grown up at auditions with a thousand girls competing for five places and if you don’t want it and you’re not competitive, there’s no point showing up.
27-year-old professional footballer Jamie comments: ‘I shoot, I usually score, if I want something, I’ll go and get it.’

23-year-old Brazilian social media influencer Nathalia added: ‘I am going to bring the South American spice into the Villa, I can’t wait to get my flirting game on, the girls better watch out.’
