Keven Bentley reveals he found a BOMB on his 478-acre Chilterns estate

TALK OF THE TOWN: Keven Bentley, 47, father of Made in Chelsea star Olivia, reveals he found a BOMB in the 478-acre Chilterns estate that piqued the interest of Hollywood A-listers amid rumours the property has sold for £30million

Millionaire Keven Bentley, father of Made In Chelsea star Olivia, is apparently struggling to accept his time at a 478-acre estate in the Chilterns is to end in the New Year.

Several sources, including a local estate agent, have confirmed that Burrow Farm Estate near Henley has been sold for about £30 million after being on the market for six months.

But if that’s true, Keven is in denial, telling me: ‘Nothing is confirmed.

‘We’ve had many wealthy people looking around, including film stars like Jason Statham, and there are four or five people very interested, but a sale hasn’t been agreed.’

The estate, which boasts 14 homes, 11 commercial units, two pools and a pheasant shoot, was previously owned by insurance broker David Palmer – father of Keven’s wife Kate and her two sisters.

Mr Palmer died in 2019 and left it to Kate and her sisters Mel and Alice, who are said to have been keen to sell.

The buyer is said to be a gambling tycoon who already rents the biggest house on the estate, and who keeps a Porsche and a helicopter on site.

Sources say Keven has struggled to come to terms with losing his home, and one person who viewed the property said Keven sat on a bench in the garden and ‘glared at visitors’.

Kate laughed off the idea, but admitted getting a consortium to buy her sisters out ‘might once have been a fantasy’.

In another strange twist, Keven told me: ‘We found a bomb in the grounds. It made a hell of a noise.’ That’s one way to scare off buyers!

Jo says Ronnie and his wife Sally now join her over the festive period.

She tells me: ‘We’ve got all these grandchildren together so I think it’s really important to have a good relationship.

‘When we first split he was weird with me but I persevered, and I always ask him over on Christmas Eve. Eventually he said Yes.’
