Katie Price has launched an attack on the stars of Love Island for getting too much surgery – despite dating a former member of the cast herself.

The 42 year old is in a happy relationship with Carl Woods, 31, who starred on the second series of the hit ITV2 show in 2016.

Mum-of-five Katie claimed that the reality show contestants look like "aliens" after going under the knife too early on in their lives.

The former glamour model has herself undergone a number of surgeries to alter her image, but not until she turned 40.

Speaking to Evening Standard, Katie said: "I do think girls these days are having far too much done to their faces early on.

"I only started in my forties — obviously I was younger when I did my boobs. All the girls are looking the same — filler, lips, that alien look."

She also took the interview as an opportunity to take down celebrities who are complaining that they are unable to go on holiday amid the current coronavirus pandemic.

Katie continued to tell the publication: "I am sick to death of reading celebrities complaining that they can't go to Dubai.

"Is that really what you are worried about? So many people are losing their families to Covid and you just want to go flaunt yourself in your f*****g bikini.

"It's so selfish. I could fly Harvey abroad away from it all but I am here."

Katie's eldest son Harvey, who is disabled, was the focus of a BBC documentary earlier this week, and has been given his dream opportunity off the back of it.

The 18 year old was shown expressing his love for trains and was seen pretending to making announcements at train stations in the documentary.

Now after watching the insightful look into Harvey's life, Network Rail have made Harvey's dream come true as they have invited him to make an announcement at a train station.

Media Relations Manager Tracy O'Brien told Metro: "We, Network Rail, would be happy to arrange for Harvey to make an announcement at one of the Network Rail managed stations when it is safe to do so."

In one of the scenes, Katie took her son to a station so that he could take pictures of the passing trains as they went by.

He said: "May I have your attention please? This train is formed of 12 coaches. Platform four for the 11:34 South Western Railway service to Guildford."

Katie Price: Harvey & Me is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
