Louise Redknapp, 46, wowed back in 2016 when she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing with her professional partner Kevin Clifton. However, the star has admitted looking back, she can remember the “anxiety” of the series.
Louise appeared back on the 14th series of Strictly, making it all the way to the finals.
However, the singer has admitted when she looks back on that time, she sometimes “edits it out”.
Appearing on Claudia Winkleman’s BBC Radio Two show earlier today, Louise was questioned about what she remembers about her time on the show.
She admitted: “I think you kind of edit it out a little bit.
“Every time I hear the theme tune it reminds me of walking down the stairs and not being able to breathe with anxiety.”
Louise continued: “It’s a nervousness I’ve never felt before of just walking down those stairs.”
The singer was hugely popular and was only beaten by BBC presenter Ore Oduba in the final episode.
Louise was opening up as she headed back to the stage for another tour of musical Nine to Five.
She’s reprising her role as Violet in the hit show based on Dolly Parton’s film.
The star admitted the process was exciting but it does come with the downside of missing home.
She added to Claudia: “If I’m honest, I really struggle with it. I know how important it is to take opportunities.
“And when an opportunity like this comes along, you do have to throw yourself at it because you never know if the next opportunity is going to be there.”
However, she said: “I find leaving the boys and the dogs and my friends hard.”
Luckily, Louise revealed she’s able to go home every weekend to spend time with her family on this run of shows.
Elsewhere, the star wowed as she hit the red carpet for the Everybody’s Talking About Jamie premiere.
For the occasion, Louise stunned in a sheer black top with a simple bra underneath.
She paired the look with black skinny jeans, a red bag and matching red boots.
Posting about her experience on Instagram, she wrote: “I had a great night watching @jamiemovie at the premiere last night.
“So pleased to be able to go and support such an amazing, emotional and important film!
“Congratulations to everyone involved in making this movie I loved it.”
