Gypsy Rose Blanchard has broken off her engagement to fiance Ken.
The 27-year-old – who was the subject of the hit Hulu series The Act – has decided to split from her fiance after getting engaged in April.
“The two were planning to get married in January while Gypsy is still in prison, but they have now cancelled those plans,” a source told E! News. “Both Gypsy and Ken are brokenhearted over the situation and still have nothing but love for each other.”
The source adds, “They each intend on taking some time apart to focus on themselves as individuals.”
Gypsy Rose announced her engagement to Ken back in April after they met through her prison pen pal program.
Gypsy Rose is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard back in June 2015.
Her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder in the stabbing death and he’s serving a life prison sentence without parole.
