Welcoming OK! magazine into her 4-bedroom Malibu home for an exclusive interview, Caitlyn Jenner explained why her children, including daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner and stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West weren’t there to meet her when she left the I’m A Celeb… jungle.
“I never asked anyone and I didn’t expect my family to come down” reveals Caitlyn, 70, who came in sixth place in the show that saw Jacqueline Jossa crowned the winner.
Fans of the ITV series were disappointed that Caitlyn – who came out as a transgender woman in 2015, aged 65 – was the only campmate not to be greeted by friends or family, with some criticising the Jenner and Kardashian families for not flying Down Under.

During the OK! interview at her mansion, which is set on 12 acres of land and has panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Caitlyn shrugged off reports of any issues, telling OK!: “I heard there was a backlash, but my kids are all working and doing great.”
At the time, Kim spoke out on Twitter about why she wasn’t there, insisting that “No one from I’m a Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners.”
When she did arrive back at her Californian home after her 22 day stint in the Australian outback, entrepreneur Kendall and supermodel Kylie had surprised Caitlyn – who they still call dad – by filling her lounge with balloons.
“Kendall and Kylie put up some welcome home balloons for me. Then a few weeks later it was Christmas, so I caught up with everyone then,” Caitlyn tells OK!.
Speaking previously, Caitlyn, who first appeared in the 2003 American version of I’m A Celebrity . . . as Bruce Jenner, said: ‘‘My family are very well-known. I was disappointed they were criticised. After the show was over, I texted or called all the kids to apologise.”

Caitlyn, who’s flying back to London for next week’s National Television Awards also told OK! that she’s already been in touch with her former campmates about meeting up while she’s in the UK.
“I made some great friends on the show and I’m excited about coming back to London soon, but it was good to get home!”
