Billie Shepherd goes on maternity leave from podcast ahead of welcoming third child

With less than a week to go until her due date, Billie Shepherd is very much counting down the days until her third child arrives.

After a busy few months that have seen her moving house, filming her reality show The Family Diaries and launching new projects, Billie has decided to take maternity leave from her hit podcast.

Billie runs the podcast, The Sam and Billie Show, with her sister Sam Faiers and the Instagram account has a staggering 62.4K followers.

The former TOWIE star is due on 6 December, and has now decided to skip the recording of this week's episode, and her sister Sam will now co-host the episode with her partner, Paul Knightley.

Sam announced the news on their podcast's Instagram page, writing: "Hey guys! Billie's off the podcast for a bit while she has her baby. So this week, we're joined by @paulknightley!

"It's a Sam and Paul special, and we're getting his opinion on your dilemmas. And… Sam turned on the Cobham Christmas lights!

"Listen wherever you get your podcasts, or you can watch us on YouTube xx."

With the announcement, Sam also included two adorable snaps from the Cobham Christmas Lights turn on.

Billie sweetly replied with: "Can’t wait to listen !!" with a heart emoji.

In June, Billie and husband Greg Shepherd announced they were expecting their third child with a super sweet family snap.

Speaking to OK! Billie said: “I just had a feeling I was pregnant”, adding that while she and Greg hadn’t actively been trying for a baby, they weren’t exactly being careful either.

She continued: “My boobs were swollen, I felt a bit sicky, and I remember being at a party at my friends house and I had a sip of prosecco and just didn’t fancy it.

“So we bought a pregnancy test while we were out shopping, and I laughed with Greg about hoping that no one saw us buying it!

“Then at home, after we put the kids to bed, I took the test in the bathroom and jumped back into bed with Greg – and you know when it just keeps flashing?

“I was really nervous because a positive pregnancy test is life changing. It’s quite overwhelming.

“So it was doing that flashing, flashing, flashing for ages then it popped up ‘pregnant’ and was 3 weeks+. We were like, ‘Oh my god!’ We were so excited.”
