Billie Eilish Slams 'Nylon Germany' for Printing a Strange Naked Robot Cover of Her Without Consent

When Billie Eilish graces a magazine cover, she does it with style. And, oh yeah, she tends to know it’s happening. Billie is on the cover of Nylon Germany‘s new issue, which is a massive surprise to her fans. But it’s also a surprise to Billie.

The magazine apparently didn’t contact the 17-year-old singer before putting a topless, robotic version of her on their cover, and Billie’s understandably not happy about that. When she saw the cover, she replied on the magazine’s Instagram directly, calling them out.

Here’s what Billie said:

Nylon Germany (not to be confused with Nylon in the US), responded by editing their Instagram caption. Notably, they still did not apologize.

Billie’s loyal fans are not feeling this, as one glance at Nylon Germany‘s comments will tell you. Here’s a good rule of thumb: Don’t be creepy and digitally alter 17-year-olds to appear naked on your cover and then not tell them! Not okay!!

As a palette cleanser, let’s turn our attention toward covers Billie did know about instead:

Billie Eilish appears on our latest cover. Click the link in our bio to read the story in full. We spend time with pop’s biggest new star at home as she opens up about adjusting to fame, writing songs with her brother Finneas, her mental-health struggles and more. “I’ve loved attention my whole life,” she says, “but I don’t think anyone knows what fame actually is.
